Cardinal climber is a hybrid of two morning glory species; the feathery cypress vine is one parent. Tropical in temperament, it loves heat and humidity and plenty of sun. Red-tinged twining stems climb to the top of trellises and then twist upon themselves, creating a lush cloak of deeply cut leaves spangled with the most brilliant red flowers that we, and hummingbirds, love.
