A sport of 'Heavenly Blue' described as new in Vaughan's 1949 catalog, 'Blue Star' has powder-blue flowers with a darker blue star radiating from the centers of the 4" blooms. This heirloom vine is an earlier bloomer than some I. tricolor varieties, and when twining up strings on the porch with others of its kind, it creates an invitingly cool summer retreat.
