A fennel flower, better known as black cumin, black caraway, and nutmeg flower, is revered in many cultures for its potent healing effects, used since antiquity. It has watery-blue flowers and elegant foliage, but the seeds are the star of the show. Once used as a condiment, sprinkled over loaves of bread and more, it has been suggested it was the 'Fitches' mentioned in Isiah in the bible.
