An outstanding, long-lived compact penstemon for gardens and containers! We love penstemons' gorgeous, healthy foliage and carillon of rosy lavender bells rising above the wine-purple leaf rosettes. Hummingbirds love them, too, and entertain us with their curiosity about our presence as we sit quietly and watch them hover nearby at eye height, then zoom away to find another stash of nectar.
