Another great annual from Chile, Alonsoa incisifolia is lovely in moderate heat summer gardens. This species of mask flower has pale orange and apricot-hued flowers opening from little lantern-shaped buds, revealing a cluster of gold stamens at their centers. Introduced in 1795, it is a long-blooming garden worthy annual that we love.
