Fragrant apple-scented Roman chamomile is a lovely bright green feathery plant with tiny daisy flowers. Chamomile derives from the Greek name 'kamai melon' or ground apple. Historically used as a strewing herb, as lawns and fragrant seats, today it is most often cultivated for medicinal use in herb gardens or found sprouting between stepping stones along the garden path.
